When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

9.44 million dollars. For anyone who read that in the voice of Dr. Evil, my hat goes off to you. For anyone who has no idea what I’m talking about, you may have had a sheltered childhood. Joking aside, that number is significant to IT security. Why? Because 9.44 million dollars is the average cost to a US-based business when they are the victim of a data breach. I originally heard this and other scary statistics at a Microsoft conference in Redmond, and the numbers have continued to climb year on year. How about looking at another statistic that can be used to get approval for an increase in your security budget?
