6.3. Create a New Document
When you create a new document in a library, rather than uploading an existing one, it creates a new file based on the template associated with the library; opening the file in the correct application (you must have that application installed locally) so you can work on it. When you save the file to the library for the first time it also creates the library item for the file, and populates the item's fields with data that is considered part of the properties of the file associated with it.
To create a brand-new document based on the library's template, you can follow these steps:
Click the New button on the Action bar.
