In this chapter, we introduced you to the all the possible ways that will help you to interact with the server, thus enabling Zabbix to acquire items and metrics that are otherwise unsupported. In this chapter, we saw the steps required to move the Oracle monitoring script from the server side to the client side and then to its final destination—the dedicated server. Here, you learned how a simple script grows until it becomes a complex external software.
