12.12. Additional Registry Key Changes

A review of Microsoft's website reveals a number of other Registry keys that you might want to modify to enhance security. Change key entries using the regedt32 utility. The predecessor to this utility, regedit, does not have some of the advanced functionality of regedt32, such as support for multipart keys.

As mentioned earlier in this chapter, be sure you have an emergency recovery disk and back up the Registry before attempting to edit the Registry.
