5.7. Which Type Should I Choose?
This topic has been the subject of many a religious war. Search the archives of any firewall mailing list, and you will find volumes on this topic. Just like a religious belief system, the selection of a proper firewall platform is a personal decision that you should make only after proper investigation.
This section is not going to tell you which platform to choose; it will simply point out some of the strengths and weaknesses of each platform and leave the final decision up to you.
