The materials are printed
on bond paper, which
gives it a contemporary
feel and responds to the
economic constraints.
Like all of the best designers working with corporate
communications, the work produced by Blok Design in
Mexico City is clear, unique, memorable, and proprietary.
But there is a duality, a contradiction in tone that succeeds
in producing a product that is incredibly unique. Some
Blok Design, does both of these. The sparse design approach
recalls a tradition of classical typography, but this subtle tone
is often interrupted by large images and contrasts in color.

designers produce work that is bold and loud. Others maintain
a rened and delicate sensibility, producing projects that are
coveted as beautiful artifacts. Vanessa Eckstein, principal of
Blok Design, does both of these. The sparse design approach
recalls a tradition of classical typography, but this subtle tone
