If you’re diligent, you can easily complete this book in that time and know for certain whether you want to continue using MATLAB as a productivity aid. The point is that you need a good installation, and this book helps you obtain that goal.
After you have MATLAB installed, it’s important to introduce yourself to the interface. This chapter provides you with an overview of the interface, not a detailed look at every feature. However, overviews are really important because working with lower-level interface elements is hard if you don’t have the big picture.
