The Systems Development Life Cycle—Design

The purpose of the system design phase is to define the equipment, appliance, or device to be developed and set up to resolve the problem, including the design of each and every component, and specifying how they are integrated to solve the problem at hand. In the previous phase, we sought to better understand the problem to be solved, and we produced specifications to allow us to determine the boundaries of the problem in all its dimensions and aspects. Now, in the system design phase, we will prepare the design for the proposed solution to the problem, according to the discussions, decisions, and outcomes from the previous phase.
