CHARACTER RIGGING IS like fine wine—it is an acquired taste. For many animators, it presents a considerable headache. The steps are often long and convoluted. If you skip a step or apply a step in the wrong order, you must sometimes re-do your work. Nevertheless, once you master the basics, many powerful approaches become available to you. This chapter touches on a few unique tips and techniques for dealing with various aspects of the rigging process.
