Introduction
Microsoft's certification program now contains four primary levels of certification: Technology Series, Professional Series, Master Series, and Architect Series. The Technology Series of certifications are intended to allow candidates to target specific technologies and are the basis for obtaining the Professional Series, Master Series, and Architect Series of certifications. The certifications contained within the Technology Series consist of one to three exams and focus on a specific technology rather than job-role skills. When obtaining a Technology Series certification, you are recognized as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) on the specific technology or technologies you have been tested on.
