Chapter 2. Designing the User Experience

After designing your application architecture, you are ready to design the user experience. The first component of the user experience is the site structure, which determines the external URLs of your application, how you segment the application, and how you centralize formatting.

The second component of the user experience requires you to consider the different platforms with which users might access your site. For example, you might need to disable some page components for mobile users. Depending on your site, you might need to create an entirely separate user interface.
