Configuring DNS Client Computer Settings

In the typical business network, client computers obtain settings required for resolving network names through DHCP or by means of membership in an AD DS domain. However, if you have any computers that are configured with static TCP/IP settings or standalone computers that are not members of a domain, it is necessary to configure DNS settings manually through the Advanced TCP/IP Settings dialog box.
