So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 12. Configuring Access Controls
This chapter covers the following subjects:
• Configuring User Account Control: UAC is designed to enable all users, even administrators, to run with a standard access token. When a user requires administrative privileges for a task that can affect system properties, such as installing a program, the user receives a prompt that requests administrative credentials. UAC helps prevent unauthorized program installation and system modification. In Windows 7, you can modify the settings that determine when these prompts appear; you learn how to work with these settings in this section.
