- Active Directory
A directory service environment for Microsoft Windows that contains information about Active Directory objects such as users, groups, and organizational units and allows administrators to assign enterprise-wide policies.
- Antivirus protection
A software solution that scans computer systems and their contents for viruses and other malware. You can configure antivirus protection in SharePoint to scan documents and perform other functions.
- Application Definition file
An XML-formatted information file that provides standard definitions for each information source and that can be imported into SharePoint.
