Introduction
When Microsoft released the update of its popular Windows operating system in 2007, it also updated its certification program. With Windows Vista, Microsoft did away with MCSA and MCSE certifications—which required candidates to take up to seven exams—to a tiered certification program that included several levels of expertise, from Technology Associate to Architect Master.
You can still obtain an MCSA and MCSE, but the latest operating system they are offered in is Windows 2003.
