Using Windows Deployment Services
Before you can start to deploy servers, you must configure Windows Deployment Services and create images. A check list can assist you in making sure your installation is completed correctly. Here are some things you must be sure your check list includes:
Active Directory
The WDS server must at least be a member server in an Active Directory domain.
DHCP and DNS
WDS relies on DHCP and DNS for both IP addresses and name resolution.
NTFS
The WDS server requires the NTFS filesystem.
Credentials
The user account that will be used to perform the install and related tasks must be a member of the local Administrators group.
