Some Important Issues in Signal Processing

The vibration-response signal, obtained from the vibration transducer, after suitably conditioning, is sent to an analyser. A commonly used analyser is called Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) analyser. Such an analyser receives analogue-voltage signals, which may represent displacement, velocity, or acceleration/strain from a signal-conditioning unit. It computes the discrete frequencies of the individual signals.
