Objectives
The objectives of this chapter are that, after studying it, the reader should be able to:
- Define the transfer function and determine it from differential equations for first- and second-order systems.
- Determine the transfer functions for systems with feedback loops.
- Determine, using Laplace transforms, the responses of first- and second-order systems to simple inputs.
- Determine the effect of pole location on the responses of systems.
