In this chapter we will take a closer look at how video can be integrated into a production using LED technology. LEDs have allowed scenic, lighting, and video designers to incorporate video elements into all aspects of a live performance in ways previously not possible.

The innovations in LED technology have resulted in some exciting lighting fixtures for the entertainment industry. Why is this? To start, LEDs have many advantages over discharge and incandescent sources. Some of the advantages of LEDs include:
