T.L. Cossetto, K. Zareinia and G.R. Sutherland, University of Calgary, Canada
Abstract:
The integration of robotic technologies into neurosurgery is reviewed and the latest technological advances to improve the precision and accuracy of surgery are described. applications such as neuroarm are described that enable surgeons to access a variety of imaging data without interrupting surgery. The use of increasingly sophisticated audio, visual, and haptic technologies for the quick and effective manipulation of information during surgery is examined.
