Robotics in orthopaedic surgery

Abstract:

Robots that have been designed for orthopaedic applications and developed to the point of commercial release are described and the evidence for benefits or undesirable consequences is considered. Five orthopaedic robots are currently known to be available commercially: ROBODOC, ACROBOT/Sculptor, Mako RIO, Mazor SpineAssist and Praxim iBlock.
