It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

IS THERE ANY WAY we can avoid the need to break out of established value networks when we step into the Intersection? Yes, but only if we have not built them in the first place. For example, at the start of a person’s career, there has been little chance to form any. In addition, if you have led an incredibly diverse career, routinely going from one field to another, you may not have had enough time to develop deep networks.
This, however, is a very rare scenario. Most of us have built networks around an established field. How do we escape from the networks that once were so helpful to us? The following two strategies can help:
