Previewing Your Book on iPad

In addition to being concerned with copyediting, proofreading, and composition, textbook authors have interactivity to worry about. Before you publish your book, you need to preview it on an iPad, read every word, scan the page and column breaks, look over the paragraph and character styles, test every widget, check every object, and review the glossary and table of contents. Twice. In portrait and landscape views. And then hire an old pro to redo it, because writers can’t edit themselves.
