Working with Photos, Albums, and Events

iPhoto on iOS makes organizing and then viewing photos on the fly surprisingly easy after you learn a few basic concepts.

The basic unit in iPhoto is the individual photo. Photos can be created with the camera on your iOS; saved from email, Twitter, or other apps; beamed from another iOS device to yours; or imported from your computer via Photo Stream or iTunes syncing. Although you can view videos and include them in journals, you can’t edit them.

Albums in iPhoto are collections of photos and videos. A single photo can be in more than one album. Albums in iPhoto are color-coded as well as labeled. Some albums are created automatically by iPhoto, and others are created by iPhoto as you work with your photos. ...
