Recruitment and Retention

Issue: Attracting and retaining the best talent continues to be a challenge for nonprofit leaders, given their heavy workloads and under-resourced environments. Developing strategies that competitively position the organization to recruit talent is also one of the nonprofit leader's challenges.

Why it matters: Hiring and retaining the right people for the job is critical for achieving success. Poor fit or lack of motivation to get the work done can lead to underachievement of program outcomes and organizational goals.
