Chapter 6. Scripting an Advanced Character GUI
YOU HAVE BEEN using a basic setup GUI since your introduction to GUI commands in Chapter 2, “Learning to Script in MEL.” This last chapter gets you started designing a custom animation GUI for your character rig by scripting more advanced controls and layouts. You will learn how to add custom images to basic controls like check boxes and buttons, and how to connect MEL sliders to attributes on the rig icons. You will also learn more complex layout commands, and how to combine layouts to design a sophisticated multipanel window to contain your GUI controls.
