Memory System Design Analysis

In recent years, the importance of memory system performance as a limiter of computer system performance has been widely recognized. However, the commodity nature of mainstream DRAM devices means that DRAM design engineers are reluctant to add functionalities or to restructure DRAM devices that would increase the manufacturing cost of those devices.
