When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in Rome, Georgia,…say, “Y’all.” That first segment is an old addage that is well understood. It’s the second half that can be the downfall of our more frequent regional encounters. When obvious cultural differences exist, our awareness of them is heightened. When the differences are more subtle and closer to home, they are easily overlooked as is the significance of their impact on relationships.
