Creating a Database Template
When you create a client or web database from the New tab on the Backstage view, you’re actually creating a new database (.accdb) from a database template. A database template is a file that holds the definition of an Access database. Database templates have an .accdt file extension and are essentially zip files that contain all the data and definitions describing a complete Access database. Database templates can be reused over and over to create additional, identical copies of an Access database.
