What really makes an Internet application rich? Is it the ability to deep-zoom into displayed images? Or is it the ability to display a compelling user interface within the browser while connecting to server-side services and to download and process data?
Like many of you, I love watching videos while comfortably sitting in my living room or while I’m waiting for the next flight in an airport. I’m happy that the quality of this media can be so high and that I can fully enjoy it. But frankly, I would define the term Rich Internet Application (RIA) another way.
