Introduction

I was speaking to one of my colleagues who didn't have much understanding of what the cloud was, so I explained it from two perspectives, one being from a consumer perspective and the other commercial. From a consumer perspective, the cloud is mostly based on software as a service (SaaS) where individuals store their files on OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., or consume content not residing on a computer in their house like with Netflix or Spotify.
