Chapter 4. Migrating a database to Azure
In this chapter, I will discuss migrating a user database to Azure. Your source database can be a Microsoft SQL Server database, or it can be any number of non-Microsoft SQL Server databases. Your destination database can be either SQL Server in an Azure virtual machine or Azure SQL Database. The migration method and complexity depend on your source database, your destination database, and your tolerance for downtime.
