Azure VPN gateway
Overview
A virtual private network (VPN) gateway is a device that you can use to connect different networks over the internet for secure communications. These can include on-premises networks connected to Azure virtual networks (vNETs) or one Azure vNET connected to another Azure vNET. IPSec/IKEv2 is used to encrypt traffic between networks. In Azure, the service to create VPN gateways is known as the virtual network gateway service.
