Data and storage security are about securing the data while it is at rest. The title of the chapter might seem a bit redundant, because data and storage security can be thought of as the same thing. However, many people think of storage security as securing the disk on which the data is stored. Any security for the data itself is inherited from the security applied to the storage system.
