Chapter 7. Azure resource management security
Nowadays it is much harder for IT administrators to assess the security of cloud resources, which are often managed by DevOps, distributed across subscriptions, rapidly uploaded and downloaded, and include virtual machines (VMs) and platform as a service (PaaS) services. Because IT administrators lack important security insights, their approach to date has been to slow down or block cloud deployments. Focus has shifted and IT administrators are now looking for ways to help DevOps teams who manage cloud deployments but are not cloud security experts, to ensure that the right protections are in place. In addition, enterprises bring with them the same challenges they have on-premises today.
