Customization Principles

The most basic principle with regard to customization is that Microsoft Dynamics CRM is built according to an n-tier model, with the user interface layers (web client and Outlook client) on the top, the application layer in the middle, and the database layer represented by SQL Server on the bottom. Therefore, always make the customizations following the principles described in this chapter.
