When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
21. Removing Duplicates and Filtering
Autofiltering has been in Excel for a decade, but it received a makeover in Excel 2007. The autofilter drop-downs allow you to multiselect values and offer smart filters. The elusive Filter by Selection feature allows you to invoke filters even faster than before.
The Advanced Filter command continues to be available and is as complicated as ever. The hope is that with the excellent improvements to autofiltering and the addition of duplicate handling, you will never have to turn to Advanced Filter. In legacy versions of Excel, I almost always had to resort to using Advanced Filter to find a list of unique values.
