Chapter 6. Loading data
As you learned in previous chapters, the key to producing reports with the Microsoft Excel data model is to load information from one source or many sources and then integrate them, building the data model that will produce your reports. This chapter will describe the data loading options available in Microsoft PowerPivot. You have already used some of the loading features of PowerPivot to prepare the earlier examples. Now it is time to move a step further and analyze in detail all the PowerPivot options for loading data so you can figure out which ones you need to use and how to get the best from them.
