We all know that the World Wide Web contains useful data on just about everything. However, you can’t really do any sort of analysis of this data while it’s on the web. You need to import the data into Microsoft Excel, which you can do very easily, providing the data is defined inside an HTML table. In an Excel workbook, on the Data tab, in the Get External Data group, click From Web. When the New Web Query dialog box appears, paste the URL of the webpage into it and then click Go.
