Sparklines are exciting graphics that can summarize a row or column of data in a single cell. The term sparkline was first used by Edward Tufte, a famous expert on the visual presentation of data and its analysis. He described sparklines as “data-intense, design-simple, word-sized graphics.” Microsoft Excel 2013 makes it easy to create amazing graphics that reside in a single cell.
