Launching Excel

To use Excel, you must open the Excel application. This loads Excel into RAM (random access memory), so your computer can work with it.

To launch Excel by opening its application icon

In the Finder, locate the Microsoft Excel application icon (Figure 3). It should be in the Microsoft Office or Microsoft Excel folder on your hard disk.
