Formatting Chart Elements
You can use the Format dialog to apply a variety of formatting to chart elements:
Font enables you to change the appearance of an element's font characters.
Number enables you to change the number formatting of values.
Alignment enables you to change the alignment and orientation of text.
Patterns enables you to change an element's color and pattern. It also enables you to set styles for axis tick marks—the tiny lines that mark values and labels on a chart's axes.
Placement enables you to set the position for a chart legend.
Scale enables you to change the values that appear on an axis.
Shape enables you to change the shape of data points.
