Using FileMaker Pro with Excel
FileMaker Pro (Figure 31) is a database application from FileMaker, Inc. Database software enables you to store and organize information and create onscreen or printed reports. FileMaker Pro is easy to use and extremely flexible—it's no wonder that it's the top-selling database application for Macintosh users.

Excel can open a FileMaker Pro database file as an Excel list sheet. This enables you to perform complex calculations on or prepare charts from data stored in FileMaker Pro documents.
