Summary

Good planning can make or break your deployment of Exchange Server 2007. This chapter covered the first stage of planning an Exchange organization: assessing your current situation. It described how to assess the needs of your users and how to document your current resources by creating a geographic profile as well as profiles of the physical and logical layout of your current network. It also discussed considerations in planning how your Exchange system will be administered in an Active Directory environment. Now that you have collected the information you need, it’s time to put that information to work. In Chapter 5, you learn how to plan the actual Exchange organization.
