Transition Options

You can choose to perform your transition in a number of ways:

  • Mimic, as closely as possible, your existing Exchange environment. Install the exact same number of Exchange Server 2007 servers as you have Exchange Server 2003 servers and perform a 1:1 migration of user mailboxes between servers.

  • Use the transition as an opportunity to "clean up" your existing Exchange environment. Over time, large organizations in particular tend to become less organized.
