Preparing for an Exchange Deployment
The Microsoft UA team has created a tool called the Exchange 2010 Deployment Assistant that provides customized assistance through a wizard drive interface. This tool is available online at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/exdeploy2010. The tool requires Microsoft Silverlight 3 or higher to be installed; therefore, it might not be suitable to access the tool directly from an Exchange server to minimize any extraneous software from being installed.
The Exchange Deployment Assistant is a wizard-driven interface that asks just a couple of questions and then creates customized deployment instructions. To start the configuration you select one of the available deployment scenarios:
