On to protecting data

We’ve spent a lot of time discussing how to store information in mailbox and public folder databases. The nature of IT is that accidents happen and hardware fails in even the most well-managed environments. Because these unfortunate events happen, we have to protect ourselves with backup copies, even if our data are replicated to many places around the world. After all, there’s nothing like a nice, warm, successful backup to make an administrator feel safe.
