Chapter 8, discusses how the introduction of the Database Availability Group (DAG) enables Exchange to support multiple copies of a database. Establishing the ability to have multiple database copies adds substantially to the system designer’s ability to construct solutions that resist server outages, but the real magic is not in the replication of log files between servers.
