Public Folder Interoperability and Migration

5.1 Introduction

Even with Exchange 5.5, understanding and controlling public folder (PF) replication was always more of an art than a science. The landscape is more complicated with the advent of Exchange 2003, since mixed environments need to consider interoperability of Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2003 public folder replication and, ultimately, the migration of Exchange 5.5 public folders to Exchange 2003.
