Configuring Directory Synchronization
For most organizations that deploy SSO, directory synchronization is the next step, because the combination of SSO and directory synchronization offers a seamless experience for Lync Online users. The first step with directory synchronization is to validate that the Active Directory environment has been prepared for synchronization, with the help of the Microsoft Office 365 Deployment Readiness Tool. For details on preparing AD for directory synchronization with the use of this tool, see Chapter 28. After the environment has been fully prepared, the information in the following sections can be used to configure synchronization with Active Directory.
